YEAR OF THE SNAKE FUNDRAISER

The year 2025 marks 50 years from the end of the Second Indochina War, popularly known as the Vietnam War. Sông2Sea invites you to join our special fundraiser in this momentous Year of the Wood Snake!

This year, in addition to a calendar, we are also offering postcards and tote bags featuring artwork by two Vietnamese artists. The art was beautifully and thoughtfully created to highlight the themes of study, solidarity, and the symbolism of the snake.

Study is central to our organizing work. We use political and cultural education to understand events from historical and material perspectives. This enables us to effectively combat oppressive systems, practice solidarity, and work towards a liberated world.

To pay homage to the spirit of study and struggle, our artwork features the modern Vietnamese alphabet. Poppy flowers honor those who have been martyred in Palestine. The snake symbolizes transformation and regeneration, as it sheds its skin to renew itself.

Suggested donation amounts are appreciated. Proceeds will go towards supporting displaced Palestinians and refugees impacted by deportation, as well as our pilgrimage to Vietnam. During this learning trip, we will engage with history and culture, learn about the ongoing effects of war and the tasks of rebuilding, and bring back lessons to share to strengthen our movement.

Your contribution will help us reach our goal of making political and cultural education meaningful and necessary in this transitional time. We thank you for your support and monetary contributions and wish you a year of good health.
