Sông2Sea’s Vietnam Trip Shareback Event

In December 2025, Sông2Sea embarked on a political and cultural education trip through north and central Vietnam, a journey that took over two years of preparation and collective study.

We went to understand and grapple with hard questions such as: What does socialist construction and sovereign development look like under the pressures of imperialism and integration with a capitalist world economy? What can organizers learn from Vietnam’s revolution and ongoing socialist project?

Through a presentation and panel discussion, we’ll share what we saw and learned, and the complexities we’re grappling with.

This event is open to all — whether you are Vietnamese diaspora contextualizing your family histories, an organizer looking to ground your politics in revolutionary history and present-day conditions, or someone simply dedicated to building toward a different world.

Fifty years after the end of what is commonly known as the Vietnam War, the world that the revolution fought for is still being built. The struggles remain even though their forms have changed. Understanding how Vietnam has navigated them is as urgent as ever today.

Forced Hunger Is a Weapon of Imperial Warfare. End the Starvation. End the Occupation.

Sông2Sea unequivocally condemns the deliberate starvation of Palestinians in Gaza, a starvation that is imposed by Israel and funded by the United States.

Gaza is not simply facing a humanitarian crisis, as politicians and media have framed it. A humanitarian crisis refers to natural disasters like earthquakes or floods; the suffering of Gaza is man-made.
